Who am I?  What’s my Why?

julie-morey-01I’m Julie Morey.   World Traveler. Adventurer. Kick-Ass Life Re-builder.   Dedicated Coach. My passion is making your life better. It’s what lights me up. Makes me wake up excited and ready for the day. I thrive on self-development. Give me a 3-hour video of Tony Robbins and I will get some popcorn and be in heaven.

Even as a kid my mom had to stop me from giving my toys away to other kids. I am a giver. It makes me happy. I also have an obsessive determination to be the best version of myself I can be.   This makes me take risks – push my comfort zone. Ask the hard questions of myself. I am determined to live my life by my rules, the way I want.

I put that fire into my coaching. I am passionate about helping you create the life you want. I want you to wake up every morning excited to be alive.   Living to your full potential. Doing what you love. Knowing that you are exactly where you want to be in life.

Six years ago I finally got up the courage to leave my ten-year marriage. The first five had honestly been the stuff of fairy tales. I married my college sweetheart and we started a business together, traveled and were madly in love. Then something twisted in him and he began to drink. The loving man I married disappeared into an emotional abusive alcoholic who told me he had to drink to deal with me.

It took me four years to get up the courage to leave, but I did. It was the hardest and best decision I ever made. During my marriage I was one-dimensional. I didn’t push myself. I lived in a safe, comfortable, easy world. After I got divorced I was determined to make it a positive experience. To use it as a catalyst for growth.

I spent a year teaching English in Taiwan. I backpacked around Southeast Asia for seven months by myself. I wrote a book and then backpacked around South American for another seven months. I traveled to Russia and worked as a nanny. I moved back to the US into a 19-bed community house and learned to live with a wide variety of people. I took a job at Starbucks even though I had a Master’s in Social Work, so I could grow my own coaching business.

It is my unique life experience combined with my background in social work , my passion for helping and my extensive knowledge on self-development that makes me such a great coach. I 100% believe that if we choose to work together and you put in the work that you will see your life transform. You will grow as a person. Learn more about yourself and your passions. Heal what needs to be healed and move forward into the life you want.
